Heat Press Media Guide: OKI Pro8432WT
Various items can be made with an OKI Pro8432WT. This will be a discussion of the four types of material that we recommend using with your digital transfer printer and what each of type of material can be used for. We hope that this will help you decide what material would be best for you.
1. Forever Laser Dark
This is the most popular product for the OKI Pro8432WT. This is used for making shirts on both light and dark garments. It is very durable and can allow for over 30 washes for both cotton and polyester shirts. This is ideal for t-shirts, sweatshirts, polos, or any type of shirt that is going to be worn multiple times.
The reason we would use this product over some of the other available options for shirts is because of its ease of use. Some of the materials that compete with this don’t allow for a good even peel every time. It is not worth it to save a couple cents per sheet if you are having a higher failure rate per sheet. Forever Laser Dark is also more forgiving, meaning that if you press it a little warmer or a little colder than it needs to be, you could still get a good transfer. The same would go for too much or too little pressure, whereas other materials would require more specific instructions to work perfectly. This makes it the ideal material for any garment that will be worn many times.
2. Forever Laser Light
This material is similar to Forever Laser Dark; however, it is only a one-step process instead of a two-step process. It is made only for light colored garments and does not have a high durability. This material is best for any type of garment that will not be worn many times or does not need to last long.
The reason you would use this product over Forever Laser Dark or similar products is that it is much cheaper, and it takes less time to make the shirt as it is only one step. However, it will not last very long. This would be ideal for large events, for volunteers, and for giveaways. It would be a fast and cheap way to make a lot of shirts. This is not a great material to use if you plan to wear the shirt often.
3. Magic Touch CPM
This is an interesting product that will allow you to press onto any hard surface. If the surface can be heat pressed, then this material will stick. This works well on wood, metal, ceramic, stone, and even paper. If you have a mug press, then this is the material you would use. You could even heat press onto acrylic or glass.
This is a very inexpensive way to decorate a surface or to make a promotional item. Whether that be name plates, mugs, small signs, or picture frames, they can all be done with Magic Touch CPM.
4. Forever Tattoo
This is a material that is specifically made for making temporary tattoos. It is a super simple process that does not require the use of a heat press. All you need is a digital transfer printer like the OKI Pro8432WT, and you can make full color temporary tattoos.
This is a great material for people who are working with schools, universities, event planners, or sporting events. These are the types of places we have seen much success with when using the Forever Tattoo material. It is an inexpensive material and you can easily put 10-15 tattoos on one sheet. This is an easy way to make a good return on an OKI Pro8432WT.
These are the main four materials we recommend for use with a digital transfer printer. Hopefully you now have a better understanding on the best material for each job.
